How To Learn Kendo Movements More Easily and Quickly
“Stop Learning Kendo in a hard way! At Last! You Can Learn Kendo Movements More Easily and Quickly Without Getting Frustrated”
Eye Opening Methods of Easy and Quick Kendo Learning
Dear Kendo Enthusiast,
Let’s face it, kendo learning is tough! There’s no doubt, almost every single beginner struggle to learn kendo movements. Of course, some people will tell you will do fine; you can get the movements right as you progress.
WRONG! If you think about it, if you don’t get the RIGHT movements at the beginning, you will practice wrong movements over and over until it will be too late to fix!
Just take a look at people around you struggling to learn the basic movements after a few years of training… I know a lot of people struggling to master advanced techniques because they did not get the right movements at the beginning..
The big problem is that most books just introduce the kendo movements WITHOUT giving you enough information about “how to acquire the movements right“. It is all up to you to figure out how to get the movements correctly.
Sound at all familiar?
But now there’s good news!…
Now you can discover…
The work is divided up into five sections:
Section I: Kendo Basic Knowledge
- Explanation of Etiquette/Manners with Iaito
- How to Carry Your Sword and Why
- How to Grab a Sword and Why
- How to Fix Your grip and more
Section II: How to Strike
- The process of Striking
- Fix Your Strike with a ball
- Suburi in seiza
- Self-checking methods
Section III: Footwork
- How to Get The Idea Of Kendo Footwork
- How to Get the Right Footwork
- How to Get Rid of the habit of “Dragging”
Section IV: Fumikomi
- The Purpose of Fumikomi
- Change Your View of Fumikomi
- How to Improve Your Fumikomi
Section V: Extra
- Tenouchi – More than Just a Grip –
- How to Improve your tenouchi
- Small Men Strike
- Teachings from a 9-dan Sensei and more…
As you can see these really are the lessons that all the kendo enthusiasts want to know about but until now no one really puts them this way. (Even if you’re an instructor you’ll benefit from the video because you’ll be able to approach your students in a way that they can get the movements quickly.)
Just imagine being able to perform the movements right away…without getting frustrated!

Daily Exercise Routine for Kendo (US49.95 Value)
My kendo life is also a history of injuries; left wrist, lower back (several different problems), left shoulder, right shoulder, left Achilles tendon. I have MCL and ACL torn in my left knee (not from kendo). I had surgeries on my left shoulder and left knee.
I want to keep training kendo and thanks to Dr. Golden, I now know how I should maintain my body to continue kendo and avoid injuries.
This video shows good exercises for kendo people. These are exercises and stretching methods that I do daily to maintain my body for kendo.
This video includes
“Daily Exercise Routine for Kendo”
- How we should use a ball to fire up our body (Using the method introduced in “How to Maintain Your Body For Kendo”, I show you how it really works and what you should be paying attention to while doing that)
- What I do to increase and maintain my flexibility (I can now do a centre split and have my chest touch the floor!)
Since I have serious shoulder injuries, I included
- How to make shoulders stronger (By these exercises, my shoulders can last longer without feeling pains)
- Strengthen the core (These exercises are good if you have chronic back pains. Of course, you should consult with your doctor if you should be doing these exercises)
- How to increase shoulder endurance and speed for kendo (As you can see in the picture, the aim of these exercises is to enhance the speed of your swing and to strengthen muscles and endurance of arms and shoulders.
- Hindu Push-ups (I like the push-ups because this strengthens the core as well and to increase flexibilities. * This is not good for unstable shoulder blades)
- And more!
(1 hour 3 min 41 seconds)
I will keep adding exercises as I learn new ones.

“American adults who are new to Kendo really need stuff and extra info like the kind in the video because”
Great Video! It definitely cleared up some of the intricate details that are sometimes missed, even at the most basic level.
The “quick” learning examples were EXTREMELY helpful in taking me from the idea of what I needed to do, to the actual experience of doing it, and knowing how it should feel.
American adults who are new to Kendo really need stuff and extra info like the kind in the video because at first glimpse Kendo seems so unfamiliar.
The video brings everyday actions and movements into their place in Kendo, making it all so much more natural.
Thanks so much!

“How to use movements from everyday life for learning Kendo movements”
I really like the video, especially the explanations on how to use movements from everyday life for learning Kendo movements.

“beginners need in order to know where we have to focus on when we are starting Kendo”
The video is great!. I think it’s reasonably priced.
I think this kind of work is what we beginners need in order to know where we have to focus on when we are starting Kendo.
It would be great if you could produce more of this kind of videos in the near future.
Thank you very much for your great work promoting such a beautiful activity!!.

“This is a very good ‘trick'”
First of all: thank you very much for the videos; they’re great (and sorry for my bad English)!
For me, the “how to fix the grip”-part was very interesting … I think, this is a very good “trick”. In the dojo, they told me how to grip the shinai correctly but I’ve had often problems with that (” … only two fingers?” etc.) … now everything is easy and relaxed.
I would like to see more of these tricks (i. e. the part with the ball) … I think that helps a lot – I often know, what I’m doing wrong but have no idea how to realize the correct form.
– Dirk from Germany
“Video was simply perfect”
In my opinion the video was simply perfect. Then again, I thank Imafuji for ever existing!
– Eny from Sao Paulo, Brazil
“I’ll say to anyone interested in kendo that the video is priceless”
The video is very helpful, since there is no dojo around I was struggling with kamae and tenouchi, mainly because I couldn’t tell if I was wrong or right. And I didn’t want to go on practicing the wrong way.
I’ll say to anyone interested in kendo that the video is priceless.
– Bruno from Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico
“Your suggestions and examples are very easy to understand that I really would like to visit your dojo in Indiana…”
First of all: I beg your pardon for my English, but if you’ll be patient I’ll try to explain what I think.
I discovered your site and everything you did from your some videos on Youtube: there I recognized the extremely high quality of your way of teaching, among a great deal of superficial and bad (just to use formal and polite expressions!) examples.
I don’t want to tease you: it is just to say that these are my first steps in this direction, but I’ve already elected you as my ideal sensei: your explanations are so clear, your suggestions and examples are very easy to understand that I really would like to visit your dojo in Indiana…
So, thanks a lot for everything you did: step by step I hope to be able (in particular hoping to find enough time!) to discover, with your help, this world.
Cheers, sensei, and arigato gozaimashita!

“I have been having an ongoing problem with my Fumikomi.[…] With the way it was broken down, I have found it helpful”
I just have purchased How to learn Kendo More Easily. I found it a very informative video. I have been using some of the technique already. But the second half will help me out the greatest.
I have been having an ongoing problem with my Fumikomi. I was leaning forward. Now with the way it was broken down, I have found it helpful.
I have also enjoyed the small men. Over all I enjoyed the video and found very useful teaching technique in it.
– Stephen from Ontario, Canada
I haven’t finished watching the video yet, but I loved what I’ve seen so far (30min). Congratulations!!
– Lara from DF, Brazil
“One of the best I have come across for learning good fundamentals”
It was an excellent video. One of the best I have come across for learning good fundamentals. I also liked how Hiro tied Kendo to the real sword as he did with “small men.”
